East Ayr State School
Mascot

The rooster was built for his daughter’s athletics carnival, as it was the family’s school mascot.

On the show, the school got interested in keeping the art piece, for which the Barefooted Welder donated part of the costs back to school.

The rooster was created very similar to Foghorn Leghorn, the bombastic character of the Looney Tunes, with his chest out and standing proud.

As a school mascot, the morning chant of Rooster symbolizes light, bravery, honesty, alertness, strength, and prudence.
